"The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away!" (Song 2:13)Each time you are excited about a new development, change, experience etc the effect is that it gives off an aroma. Each time you discern that you are growing in compassion or faithfulness or that you are any number of emotions it lets off a fragrance of new life. The more that you discern these changes the more excitement and more rejoicing that happens!

"Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, Your name is ointment poured forth; Therefore the virgins love you." (Song 1:3)
"But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." (Heb 5:14)When we became born again, we became a new creation. (2 Cor 5:17) This means that we have an aroma of life. You can smell life. When you are around a dead body it has its own smell. There is an aroma of life as well. God invites us to exercise our spiritual senses so that we discern both good and evil. In our natural body we have 5 senses: Touch, Taste, See, Hear, Smell. We also have Spiritual senses of the same kind. (see various scriptures: 1 Peter 2:3) The significance of the book of Song of Songs is that it explodes in it's revelation of the spiritual sense of smell.

Hello everyone, this night I'm moved into something that's really changed the way I read the bible and encountering Jesus on a daily basis. It's also meant that I have increased desire and urgency and excitement to read and to study the word of God. Because it's not a document, it's a person. It's not just words on a page but like the disciples we echo "where else would we go, you have the words of life" these words of life are seen clearly in every place in scripture. Such as when Jesus speaks later in John
"Most Assuredly I say to you, He who believes in me, the things that I do he will do; and greater than these because I go to my Father, and whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father maybe glorified in the Son, if you ask for anything in my name, that I will do" (John 14:12-14)

I would like to share with you a series of healing steps that Jesus gave to me which totally tore me up to no end as regards to expecting and praying for healing! What would breathe in you if you knew that regardless of the circumstance you knew that you could encounter Jesus. This is really a pursuit of Jesus himself. As He comes and ministers to you in your weakness you find that you are coming closer to Jesus himself. Because everything happened at the cross.

The Shepherd Heart of God

Psalm 42:2 "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?" NKJV
Hey, the realisation hit me yesterday something that is very simple to put into practice. I was talking with God in a worship time at our base in Oxford and received a word from Him, but I didn't think it was supposed to be said then. So I talked about it with God. Then I felt guilty that I hadn't said anything. Thoughts like "You should have said what you were thinking" "You are grieving the Spirit" "You are going to have to work towards getting back in His presence" Even though I hadn't done anything.
