This song was birthed out of the scripture Psalm 8:2 where it says "out of the mouths of babes and infants you've ordained praise, to silence the foe and the avenger"
It also has a witness to it related to a prophetic word I shared today. (the contents of that word were not just working at becoming joyful people, but encountering the joyful heart of God)
At the bottom of a well of joy is deep mercy and love. God himself is the pursuer here, going above and beyond to give us joy and love. What a mystery!

Hi there, I really recommend singing scripture. it works.
I have been praying for a dear friend, named Wayne, and while praying for Him, i had this impression of "reigning as Kings" in fact, we are to inherit the nations. It sums up our whole experience in the age to come.
But of course, it's just who redeemed us, made us Kings and Priests to serve our God (Revelation 5:9,10)

This Song is the eventuality of realising that Jesus is the author, and the Father is the Provider. They go hand in hand. As easy as these lyrics are to say, it was a deep revelation that caused them. The lyrics from Isaiah 12 are recorded for our benefit, being the words of a song, that Israel will sing at the end of the age and the start of the Millenium. ONce I said in interpretation to these verses, "they will institute prayer and worship forever and ever because of the enormity of what Jesus has done" i still believe that. but it's also the insight that we will sing it with them, because we are also His. We are all together.

They Overcame (2)

Hey there,

I would faithfully like to exposit the first prophecy given to Isaiah in the book of Isaiah. This comes directly after His calling in Chapter 6. Two generations later, the Grandson of Uzziah is on the Throne of Judah in Jerusalem.

I have been wrestling with the assumption that the whole point of the Prophets is to "Repent", "Turn and Repent" or "Remember, Repent and Do" It just does not work with some prophecies given. I think of Hosea 1&2 which is a direct contradiction of this rule. In fact, all Hosea is called to proclaim is "You are not my people" and "I will not have mercy on you" - Sit under that teaching and die! Then what does he goto? The complete opposite. Hosea, how are we supposed to respond? Are you telling us that God is angry with us? That God also loves us? How do we respond? In fact, he's not asking them to respond in any way.

It is because there is a hidden meaning behind what is being said, that is clearly seen in the prophecy given to Isaiah for the King Ahaz. If you have a chance, read Chapter 7 of the book. I will be starting at Verse 10 and finishing at Verse 17

Moreover the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying, "Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above." But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!" Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! [Is it] a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings. The LORD will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father's house--days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah."

I did not know what to do with this. God Himself is saying "regardless of the faithlessness of my people, I will provide a sign" So why did God give Ahaz a chance to ask for a sign? It was because He saw that Ahaz was struggling to believe, but He wanted Him to know in earnest, that "God is with us!"

But then, what is happening afterwards is this, because Ahaz responded in unbelief, He is now basing all that He will do - the Assyrian Invasion, on the state of His heart, had he believed in Him, he would have established Him. (Isaiah 7:9)

What a monumental expectation! He is wanting us to trust Him. In other words, it is with the heart that one believes. God bring on all that you are planning to do in our generation!

Where do your loyalties lie?

There is a pledge of allegiance to Jesus! What is the most important thing? Knowledge of God (Isaiah 5:13)

This is also the question of the hour in Matthew 16

"Who do you say I am?"

My word, the Lord is saying, "You are laying your heart before me, saying "I will go"" but when I lay my heart before you, you refuse to go.

Drink His words in all their glorious inconsistencies.

When you place Isaiah 5, and Revelation 2:8-11 together this is what you get:

In some of the curses that are pronounced against his people there are:

"Woe to you who call good evil, and evil good"

"Woe to those who rise early in the morning,
[That] they may follow intoxicating drink;
Who continue until night, [till] wine inflames them!
The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute,
And wine are in their feasts;
But they do not regard the work of the LORD,
Nor consider the operation of His hands."

In response to this, God's response is "dig yourselves graves because you will put yourself in them" This is what is meant by "I will lay it waste" (in verse 6)

This phrase in Isaiah 5;5,6 is the center point of the direction of God regarding His vineyard.

We ought to think about the lengths for which God will utterly demolish his inheritance so that they will bear fruit. To bear fruit, implies, it is alive. He is saying "i will bring you to the point of death so that you will live" actually I think that a fair exchange.

I was thinking about how the exhortation to the church of Smyrna falls upon their ears. Jesus finishes the exhortation with these words "be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" I cannot imagine those that are under this threat of death thinking "I am going to run away" rather this place, the place of death will polarize you. If you are not willing, you simply will not go. You will turn tail and flee (like his disciples did) or you will prepare to die. The exhortation "be faithful until death" will fall on ears that will be exhorted to prepare for this.

What is running through their hearts (and minds)? I thought about Jesus exhortation as the First and the Last. In Daniel 7 it has these words:

"I was watching in the night visions,
And behold, [One] like the Son of Man,
 Coming with the clouds of heaven!
 He came to the Ancient of Days,
 And they brought Him near before Him.
Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
 That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
 His dominion [is] an everlasting dominion,
 Which shall not pass away,
 And His kingdom [the one]
 Which shall not be destroyed. (emphasis mine)

This is what they were thinking. as opposed to all other kingdoms on the earth, this one will not pass away, this one will not be destroyed.


In fact, their reward is mentioned in both Revelation 5 and Daniel 7. it reads thus:

'But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.' (Daniel 7:18)

Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.' (Daniel 7:27)




And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth." (Rev 5:10)


They were looking for the reward of reigning with Him

We also have an exhortation from Jesus. I know what he is thinking in His heart as He says these words:

But Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him [My] Father will honor.

"I am the First, I am pre-eminant, I am the highest and take precedence. I am the Last, I will be the ultimate end for which anyone lives, And now I am becoming Lord of Death and Life when I die and rise again"

These words are repeated to the church at Smyrna. The question is, "Come die with me!"

Why ought your allegiance be to anyone else?

The Vision of Isaiah: The Calling to Live Holy, and enjoy the benefits of Salvation (42:18-44:23)

I wanted to share this revelation with you, which I had when I was reading Isaiah 42:18-44:23
A Passage that has eluded me for so long has been Chapter 44 where the prophet starts speaking and denouncing Idols (though I did not have eyes to see it beforehand) I think if you are in the middle of Idol worship, you don't see it and unless you have the Spirit, such behavior God delivers you over to (44:18)

The point that I have to communicate here is the Prophet's ANGUISH at the end of this section.

They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, [And] their hearts, so that they cannot understand. And no one considers in his heart, Nor [is there] knowledge nor understanding to say, "I have burned half of it in the fire, Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals; I have roasted meat and eaten [it]; And shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?" He feeds on ashes; A deceived heart has turned him aside; And he cannot deliver his soul, Nor say, "[Is there] not a lie in my right hand?"

I want to grip you with something that grips me it is this. If you are following after Idols, nothing can save you! It just so happens everyone has gone that way! (Romans 1:18) no forgiveness, no salvation, no deliverance, no promised redemption price. And blinded by lies.

Bookmarking these are two redemptively charged sections where God is speaking to His wayward servant.  Isaiah 43:22 writes:

"But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel.

Let us continue on with this section

"I, [even] I, [am] He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your [case], that you may be acquitted. Your first father sinned, And your mediators have transgressed against Me. Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; I will give Jacob to the curse, And Israel to reproaches.

What is happening here, is God is reminding his people about His charge before them as Priests, and how the nation are to minister salvation to the ends of the earth through the forgiveness of sins. But what did they do? This is Israel's charged history in a couple of verses: They transgress against Him (rather than appreciating the blessings of Salvation) and as a result he hands them over to be plundered. See a picture?


I used to think that these verses were a reference to all Israel being saved, and their sin corporately forgiven, but all God is really saying is this "You are my people, you ought to know me"


However I want to impress the second section upon you with great excitement and joy. Following the Prophets anguish regarding Idols there is a brief, yet WONDERFUL redemptive section where God again takes up the center stage and speaks with His people.

"Remember these, O Jacob, And Israel, for you [are] My servant; I have formed you, you [are] My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you."
Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done [it]! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.

God intends to destroy every idol on the earth, and be ceaselessly worshipped forever and ever on earth (Isaiah 45:22-25) He also intends on saving all Israel and wiping clean their transgressions. The ones who have a problem with keeping his covenant will at last be healed of their treachery.  Listen to what He says!

The Vision of Isaiah: Unending LIFE, Victory over SIN, IMMEASURABLE RICHES (38:1-39.8)

I want to share this revelation that I had while reading the passage regarding Hezekiah's sickness. Think of Hezekiah, King of Judah, and His vast riches (39:1-2) collected up for hundreds of years, and the deceitfulness of these treasures, vexing his soul, tormenting His mind, actually making Him a slave to the things that cherished - and His eternal soul hanging in the balance. In one of the lines of His wonderful POEM, Hezekiah is quoted as saying:

I said, "I shall not see YAH, The LORD in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.

The word for world is literally "Hades" - or the place of rest, that is, he is no more in the land of the living, but only an observer from the place where you cannot go back from.
Why does God hate SIN so much? Remember the verse in Matthew 16

"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

What is happening to Hezekiah is this, a battle with His eternal soul being led low to the pits of corruption, without forgiveness (38:17)
 Remember the verse in Psalm 16, which says

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence [is] fullness of joy; At Your right hand [are] pleasures forevermore.

We know that Christ, did not see corruption. That is, he did not goto the place where it was impossible to get back from.

The REASON that SIN is so abominable to God is this:
It is because in Messiah is the Spirit of LIFE, he is untainted from SIN. It is a mystery that he wrestles with SIN. The Spirit of God indwells Him, in full power, in absolute partnership, this is the glory of the Son of God. “I say to you, LAZARUS COME FORTH!” this proves He is the Son of God. Giving life to the dead. (John 5:21,25)

What is the heart of God's JOY of being forgiven of your sin? It is found in the end of the Psalm:

Indeed [it was] for [my own] peace [That] I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly [delivered] my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.  For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth. The living, the living man, he shall praise You, As I [do] this day; The father shall make known Your truth to the children. "The LORD [was ready] to save me; Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments All the days of our life, in the house of the LORD."

Let me pick a STRAND out of what is being said here, "It was for my own peace that I had great bitterness" What would it be like to have no forgiveness of sin, to go down to the grave without any hope, without a reward, being given to the worms, and your inheritance going to the dust? It would be bitterness. God saves you from the bitterness of it by giving you a better alternative, like in Ezekiel "Why should you die?" God is saying "I have something better for you than to die and leave everything to the worms"

This is ironically the reason why God allows the suffering in your life to happen, to convince you of a better life. (It's actually the definition of His love for you) These riches are the IMMEASURABLE riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8) What better way to begin the book of the servant than the proof text of all that He is aiming to do to your little heart.

The Book of Isaiah: A fountain of Restoration opened up (Isaiah 12:1-6)

I have really enjoyed reading Isaiah 12 today. I wanted to share my gleanings and the things that I like about it. It's such a small chapter I'm going to quote the whole thing! (New King James Version)

1And in that day you will say:
"O LORD, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
2Behold, God [is] my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
'For YAH, the LORD, [is] my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.' "

3Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.

4And in that day you will say:
"Praise the LORD, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
5Sing to the LORD,
For He has done excellent things;
This [is] known in all the earth.
6Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great [is] the Holy One of Israel in your midst!"

In the first verse, I had an amazing realization after Praying "God I want to see the Lamb in this Chapter" so I'll quote it again:
1"O LORD, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me."

Isn't it true, that when Christ offered up himself for me, that the wrath and anger that was spent on me was removed, and instead I became the one in whom is all His delight.

In fact, I wouldn't want to stop there. In the second verse:
2Behold, God [is] my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;

That is a declaration to declare. it will become my new prayer to God, "I trust in you, I will not be afraid" - Among many other things, I take it personally as showing me that God's intentions towards me are without mixture, and that whatever number my fears are, there is sincerity in Him that is bigger than my fears. In fact, I would go further than no fear, I would say "I want to taste the grace coming off from your words" - because only that satisfies me.

I can hear the dancers gathering their tambourines in the 6th verse:
6Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great [is] the Holy One of Israel in your midst!

As a request for the entire congregation, this comes from the hearts of those that truly know Him.

When I begun thinking about the Chapter I began at this verse. If you notice the two phrases in Verse 1 and 4 "And in that day" you would need to find the previous Chapter. Collectively, the nation responds, Individually, the hearts are transformed. God begins and ends in this Chapter. He is the substance, the form, and the vibrancy of their celebration. Whose? Zion, of course, (coming back into covenant bond with Her Husband) those who have had God's wrath poured out only to find that His desire is to comfort them.

The thing I like about their response, is that they don't need God to give them a push along, their celebration comes from deep in their hearts (which is shown in Verse 4 and 5) the beginning of the great commission to reach the world with the glory of God - His works being manifest in all the earth!

Verse 3 is very significant. If you want Jesus look no further than here
3Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.

If you want to find out the full story, search for it on the internet, for now I will give an abridged summary. These verses are recited during the Feast of Tabernacles. The feast of Tabernacles is the premier feast of the year on the Jewish Calendar, in it we believe that the Messiah will appear to us. If there is any time of year that He will appear it is this time (for further information, and interest, the calendar year is also in 6 month cycles)

As part of the Feast the priest will draw water from the pool of Siloam, which is about 150 metres from the temple mount (Yes, you've read it in the New Testament) they will carry large vessels of water up from the pool to the temple Mount, where they pour out the water. As part of this, they eagerly await the coming of Messiah, who will show Himself at this time. It is this "Living Water" that they are earnestly desiring.

If you find it, in the Gospel according to John, flick to chapter 7, and goto verse 37-39

On the last day, that great [day] of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said,
out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
But this He spoke concerning the Spirit,
whom those believing in Him would receive;
for the Holy Spirit was not yet [given],
because Jesus was not yet glorified.

NO ONE HAD EVER SPOKEN LIKE THIS MAN!

That is the only thing I'm desiring right now, JOY from deep within me. Who is the well of salvation? who is the fountain of life? My Jesus, my Salvation from God! when they say "God is my salvation" they are literally calling His name. because He is my personal salvation. They are basically saying, "Jesus my joy!" I drunk from YOUR LIFE, inexhaustable, fully satisfying, GLORY They want to drink from this well. So, if you haven't already, DRINK.
